Why go to Egypt?
Egypt has so much to offer. From the pyramids to the beautiful beaches of the Red sea. The pyramids and different temples offer rich cultural history and a unique history. To travel to Egypt is expensive but within the country, traveling is relatively low. The shopping in Egypt is amazing because they love to bargain. The locals are friendly to all visitors, so no need to worry about not being welcomed! If you love cruises, Egypt is for you! Cruises are the best way to see Egypt and especially down the Nile. Its quiet and peaceful. Its an amazing get away for the winter because their weather is nice. In the 70s during the day. If you travel a little down south, you will encounter the towns along Red sea and there you will be able to enjoy more of a night life and beach resorts!
Misgivings about Egypt
People have different out looks on the middle east. You hear people saying it's dirty, they always have a war going on and that its extremely hot. Some are true and others are not. The weather is very hot in the summer, so if you plan on visiting Egypt, travel more in the fall and winter. The weather is more pleasant then. Travel first-class to avoid the crowded streets and horrible traffic. Also when traveling to Egypt avoid drinking their water. Only drink bottled drinks to be safe. The wars that are happening in the middle east aren't effecting Egypt. If you like a fast paced city, Egypt would be the city for you to visit!

The City of Aswan
Aswan is most recognized for being the home to the world's biggest structure; the Aswan High Dam. The dam was completed in 1970 and cost $1 billion. It was built to control flooding. The flooding that happened once a year helped the soil making it nutrient rich. Now the wall releases water during times of the drought. Other sites in Aswan include different temples on Philae island where they do a sound and light show. One of the best-known temples is the Temple of Abu Simbel. The figure of Ramses II is cut into a bluff. This is the second one built, the first was destroyed during a flood.
